This page is maintained by Conduit Ops Tech to describe how EconPulse handles data. It describes our current practices; it is not an independent audit or certification.
1. What we collect
- Email address — when you request an API key or a badge embed, so we can issue and manage the key and contact you about the Service.
- API request metadata — API key identifier, endpoint, timestamp, response status and latency, used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and debugging.
- Billing details — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
2. Why we use it
To issue and authenticate API keys, enforce plan limits, process subscription payments, respond to support requests, and send operational notices such as breaking changes or planned maintenance.
3. Cookies and analytics
The EconPulse marketing site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for serving the site. The API itself is stateless and does not rely on cookies.
4. Subprocessors
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
- Cloudflare — site and API delivery, edge caching, DDoS protection
- Email delivery provider — transactional messages such as API key issuance
Upstream data publishers (BLS, EIA, U.S. Treasury, EIA via FRED) receive no personal data from us — we read published economic series only.
5. Retention
Account emails are retained while your account is active and for up to 12 months after cancellation, so we can reinstate access and meet accounting obligations. Request logs are retained for up to 90 days, then deleted or aggregated into non-identifying counters.
6. Your requests
You may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data associated with your API key. Email info@conduitopstech.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account deactivates the associated API keys.
7. Security
Traffic to econpulse.io and api.econpulse.io is served over HTTPS. API keys are treated as credentials and should not be shared or embedded in public client code. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, email info@conduitopstech.com with the details and we will acknowledge receipt.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced by email to account holders and reflected in the “last updated” date above.
